Lioness Season 2

Set against the vast Texas sky, this project pushed everyone to their limits. Tight timelines and constantly shifting schedules made strong, decisive leadership across every department not just valuable, but essential.

One of my favorite moments came while building a set on a local Texas ranch in the iconic Dinosaur Valley, where I unexpectedly stumbled upon a few fossils — a reminder of just how layered this landscape really is.

As a North Texas native, it was especially meaningful to share this part of the world with colleagues and friends I’ve made in Los Angeles. Watching those two worlds collide made the experience even more memorable.

BOARDER STATION

With the original location from season one being shot in Baltimore, we spent a week surveying every detail to be replicated back on stage in Fort Worth, TX. Splitting up the three floors to make it camera-friendly, the first floor was built with exterior facades, a full front yard, back yard, and a 120’ custom Rosco soft drop to match our new hero exterior location in Fort Worth.

The second and third floors were consolidated and placed on a six-foot deck with a center staircase connecting the two sets.

In the end, we built a practical kitchen, three practical fireplaces, two practical showers, and one practical tub. Yee Haw!

After a dramatic schedule change, our team had a mere eleven days to finish this set. With all hands on deck, sacrifices were made in terms of the design and finishes in order to complete it in time for shooting.

CIA Headquarters

Built into the hillside of a local Texas ranch, the terrain had to first be terraformed and leveled to be able to build this structure. Many days in the grueling 100+ degree heat add much to the character of this facade.
